The area is well known for drawing species like Long-tailed ducks, scoters, and Harlequin ducks visit almost every year. The bridges host a breeding pair of Peregrine falcons and other raptors. Seeing Bald eagles is common in the winter.

Visitors can expect to see ducks, geese, swans, loons, Bald eagles, American kestrel, and gulls. Rare sightings include Peregrine falcons, waterfowl, gulls, Horned Grebes, and Long-tailed duck in the winter.
