M-154 AND SOUTH CHANNEL DRIVE

Harsens Island, Clay Township

Marshland birds and raptors can also be seen and heard. The route ends at the end of M-154 with an expansive view of Lake St. Clair with its many species of gull, tern, and waterfowl best viewed with spotting scopes.

Diving ducks are commonly seen in the winter. Other commonly seen species include Pied-billed Grebes, American coots, swallows, Foresters Terns, Tundra and Mute swans, Kingbirds, and a variety of ducks. Eastern Kingbirds, Black Terns (in the summer and fall), marsh birds, eagles can also appear.
